In our day the Cavern was a Jazz Club in a cellar with entertainers such as Akabilk,Terry Lightfoot. A bit of skiffle was going down too. Rory Storm & The Hurricanes were very popular and were followed by The Quarrymen later named the Beatles,  who made the club famous.
